We purchased this unit for home office use and it has excelled in every way.The shredding capacity is more than expected as is the day by day function. The design size as built is deceptive, we had thought on unpacking the shredder we had undersized the model picked.
The convenience and ease of removing the shredded material is much better than our previous unit with no spillage or loose paper.
The rapid delivery by Amazon was an additional bonus

I purchased this product over a year ago due to needing to replace another Fellows shredder. It lasted over 10 years. This one has worked very well and I like this manufacturer. I would recommend inserting no more than 4 sheets of paper unless your paper is very very thin because more slows it down. I don't want to chance burning the motor. I also like the reverse feature since I have inserted too many sheets at one time. I don't take chances inserting staples and I believe it is not recommended anyway. I also don't use plastic mailing labels in it because they seem to accumulate between the blades. It works well for credit cards. It's a good purchase for your home. It's a good investment and I like Fellows Shredder products. I'm sure I will have it for another 10 years or so.

I got this shredder after my last one died an unnatural death at the hands of an obnoxious child (not my own, can you tell?) who liked to test the limits of everything mechanical in the house. I thought, "find a mid-priced shredder on Amazon and move on." I was very pleased with what I got from Fellows Shredder. Oddly, it comes with a CD. Does anyone seriously need shredder software? Eh. No harm, no foul. However, what I liked about it was the grounding plate around the shredder feed. If you have fingertips on the entrance to the shredder, it turns off. It's impossible to get fingers chewed by this shredder. While there are no toddlers in my house, I can imagine that this shredder is the perfect choice for a home that still has small children around. Or maybe even perfect for very clumsy adults. It's also got a CC shredder which I've actually used and I can say it works as advertised.

The Fellows Shredder PS-67Cs is a replacement to a 5+ year old PS60C-2 which stopped working the other day. The bin is a bit bigger than expected, but no real complaints. The cutters seem well built and handle the suggested 8-sheets at a time without issue. The dedicated credit card slot is a nice bonus. The unit is relatively quiet and the proximity safety barrier is a nice feature. For the price, I am very happy with this replacement.

I'm not in a hurry to clear out years of accumulated confidential "what if" stuff, so I'm fine with the speed and sheet quantity of this quiet unit. The shredder head sits on a basket, so emptying the basket - more frequently than I might prefer - requires the head to be set aside, using a convenient handle, while the basket is dumped, generally scattering shredded material more than I'd prefer. A removable basket in a stand-alone base would be better? The instructions indicate that sheet address labels should not be fed through the unit, which was a concern, since I had a quantity with confidential membership data that needed to be destroyed; but, alternating the sheet labels with regular paper allowed me to avoid any jamming - which would not have been surprising, given that the crosscutting of the labels exposed a great deal of sticky label adhesive. The labels are gone and I'm expecting a long and satisfying expereince with the unit. Should have gotten one sooner - and held onto a lot less "what if" stuff. Set free by Fellows!

4.0 out of 5 stars Confetti Cut? Not Quite, November 13, 2008

Got this today and while it does do its job as far as shredding, not jamming too often and holding a good amount in the container I don't know why they say its confetti cut when its more like strips. I was led to believe that it cut up the pieces smaller (into actual confetti or cross cutter shredder small pieces) then what they are. The cut is about 1 inch in length which to me isnt as secure as a true "confetti cut" would be. So for those of you who are expecting this to make actual confetti, it wont. If you want a sturdy shredder that shreds and doesn't jam up, then try this one out. So it still gets 4 stars for its performance (so far) but no star for its cutting technique.
